We just picked up this sweet boy and noticed his tail.  I have never seen such a matted tail. It was one solid dreadlock mixed with mud and pine needles all the way to his tail bone.  I thought for sure we would have to cut it off and buy him a fake tail until it grew back out.  Poor boy. He has very fine hair and tangles easily.  Went to our local coop feed store and asked what they recommended for such a mess.  The gal at the counter uses Cowboy Magic on her Friesians and was certain this would do the trick.  Two hours of patience and Cowboy Magic and our sweet boy has a tangle free tail.  Cowboy Magic saved the day and will now be a part of our grooming tool box.  Thank you so much.
