Have you ever wondered what the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo experience is like in Las Vegas? You see the glamour on television. People are dressed in their country best, decked out in dazzling vests, cowboy hats and leather boots. The Wrangler NFR brings together the top fifteen individuals in various events to compete in front of 169,000 spectators at the Thomas & Mack Center.
You will have front row seats to some of the most exciting spectator sports in the world! There are seven different disciplines coming together under the same roof; bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding.
The city of Las Vegas has prospered from the draw of the NFR. Hotels are booked, restaurants are filled, and people are gathered at various viewing parties around town. In the past, December was a month for renovations and yearly maintenance for resorts. Now, the Wrangler NFR is such a major attraction for the city, places wait until June to schedule any repairs!
The NFR is well known for their rodeo, but also the shopping! You will be in awe as you walk among hundreds of vendors gathered on the 300,000 square feet of show floor hosting. Known as Cowboy Christmas, there are plenty of vendors to choose from so you can get your Holiday shopping in!
New this year to Cowboy Christmas, are the NFR Extra Podcast, Junior World Finals BLVD. presented by 12 Gauge Ranch and Bites and Brews presented by Total Feeds. The NFR Extra will be streaming interviews gathered from rodeo fans and professionals alike.
Take a stroll down the red carpet lining the Junior World Finals BLVD, featuring 18 interactive exhibits set up by the sponsors of each event. Over the ten days of Cowboy Christmas, 232,595 people walked through the doors of the Las Vegas Convention Center!
Be sure to save your energy for the NFR Opening Acts every night starting at 6:45pm! The 25,000 square foot Thomas & Mack Center will host top country performers including, Wade Brown, Casey Donahew, Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band. Grab your cowboy (or girl) hats, kick on those boots and live it up at the NFR hoedown!
